It finally is February 29th again. It is finally my birthday again. I'm now 8 (or 32 years old). I do enjoy my birthday when it comes around because it is so rare. I never imagined 4 years ago I would be here in Spartanburg, SC celebrating my birthday. To be honest it is a very subdued day. Aside from chapel at SMC (and having Happy Birthday sung to me by everyone there), it has been a quiet day. I did get a birthday card from my family, texts and facebook messages from friends. Not really much of a party planned today. I may go see a movie tonight and get myself a cake. It's hard being in a fairly new place (and it being the middle of the week), not really many people to celebrate with. So in that way it's kinda bittersweet. But like I said before, I'm happy that I can get to celebrate it.
Here's the updated reading list for 2012:
"Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices and Priorities of a Winning Life" by Tony Dungy
"Smooth Stones: Bringing Down the Giant Questions of Apologetics" by Joe Coffey
"Church is a Team Sport: A Championship Strategy for Doing Ministry Together" by Jim Putman
"Erasing Hell: What God Says About Eternity and the Things We've Made Up" by Francis Chan and Preston Sprinkle
"Religion Saves: And Nine Other Misconceptions" by Mark Driscoll
"Into the Dark: Seeing the Sacred in the Top Films of the 21st Century" by Craig DetweilerWell that's all for now. Until next time, later days...
